Thank you for visiting Storm Spotters United™.  This page describes how to create a new account with us using your Facebook account.  If you already have a Storm Spotters United™, please click here to see how to link your current account with your Facebook account.  The following steps will only work if you do not have a Storm Spotters United™ account.  We respect your privacy and personal information, please see our Privacy Policy for information about the Storm Spotters United™/Facebook account integration.

    How to create your new Storm Spotters United™/Facebook Account:

1. From any page of the website, click on the Facebook button on the left side of the website.  We have highlighted the button in yellow in the image here.
   
2. When you click this button, you will receive a pop-up window (if you don't, check to see if you have pop-ups blocked).  If you are not currently logged into Facebook, you will see a login screen, such as shown in the first image below.  If you are already logged in (or once you do login), you will see the Request Permission form that will link your two accounts, as show in the second image below.
     
3. If youi have tried the above steps and received the message "Please complete username and password fields" as seen in the image below, then your email address that is used in your Facebook account is already registered with an account on our website.  If you don't see this messages, proceed to # 4 below.
   
4. If you have successfully created a new Storm Spotters United™ account with Facebook, you will see the following message towards the top of the Storm Spotters United™ website.  It tells you that an email has been send to you and that you need to confirm your account with us before being able to login.  This is required for all new accounts.
   
5. Once you have confirmed your account from your email (If you don't see your email, be sure to check your SPAM filter, you need to allow emails from StormSpotters.org), you will be able to login using your Facebook account information.  You will know its working, as you will be able to use the forum and you will see a Facebook logout button on the left side of the site, as shown in the image below.
